Since its beginning, the Partnership Project has repeatedly examined client outcomes and has strived for continual program improvement.  An evaluation has been conducted for each SGI contract period to date.

• The Partnership Project was developed according to the service vision held by the Acquired Brain Injury Working Group. This group’s strategy, ABI Strategy for Services, was released in 1995. ABI Strategy for Services, 1995

External Evaluations

In an ongoing effort to evaluate the effectiveness of our service continuum, the Partnership Project undertook three separate evaluations through an external evaluation process. 

• An evaluation of the overall effectiveness of our general service delivery model was completed in 2011 by Laurence Thompson Strategic Consulting:  Evaluation of the Saskatchewan Acquired Brain Injury Partnership's general services
   
• An evaluation of best practices for working with clients with Complex Needs was completed in 2012 by R.A. Malatest and Associates: Evaluation of the Partnership Project's Delivery Model for Difficult to Serve Populations.
   
• An evaluation of Saskatchewan's Program for Child Passenger Safety was completed in 2012 by BC Injury Research and Prevention Unit: Review of International Best-Practices for Improving Child Passenger Safety and Evaluation of Saskatchewan’s Program. (Full Report and Executive Summary)

Acquired Brain Injury Reports

• In collaboration with an international advisory committee (developed by Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation) and a group of interdisciplinary, graduate students, Dr. Richard Volpe developed the resource entitled: Casebook of exemplary evidence-informed programs that foster community participation after acquired brain injury (Source: NeuroMatters Connecting You to Research: Community Participation After Acquired Brain Injury.  Spring 2010, Issue 10.  P. 1 - 8). The purpose of this document is to showcase a range of approaches to facilitate community participation and provide a greater understanding of how and why a best practice is successful. 

  The Acquired Brain Injury Partnership is pleased to note that included in Dr. Volpe's casebook of exemplary programs are the Saskatchewan Abilities Council (now SaskAbilities) Aboriginal ABI Community Support program in Saskatoon and the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s ABI Outreach Team service model, profiling the South team based in Regina.
